I’ve been trying to find the right way to express my thoughts regarding the historical linguistic work that Brian Stubbs is completing, but it’s time for me to accept my utter failure. For now I’ll simply say that what he has already presented regarding correlations between the Uto-Aztecan language family and ancient Hebrew and Egyptian is tremendously compelling, but it’s still just a shadow of the good stuff that’s coming.
I feel like echoing Mormon’s words when he wished that he could share the words of Nephi but determined that “all of them cannot be written, and a part of them would not suffice” (3 Nephi 7:17).
I think that the best thing to say for now is to ask everyone to keep a patient, but keen eye on Brian Stubbs’ research. As more details emerge, it will reshape the entire discussion regarding the historicity of the Book of Mormon.
